Garlic Contest
‘···Why is that kid like that?’
I scratched my beard as I watched Ben run away like he needed to take a shit.
‘It was a little dangerous···.’
In preparation for Ben’s stabbing, he taught Adela the ‘wristlock’ of her first opponent, Shandy.
The technique was perfect for defending against Ben’s stabs.
It took a lot of effort to teach him in a short period of time, but it was worth it for the garlic.
In addition, Adela was a knight, so her swordsmanship was not bad. Considering her lack of actual combat experience, it was safe to say that she was good.
Adela had built an unconscious defense against Ben’s swordsmanship through repeated training.
Adela, who had no choice but to give up, had completed her training course well, so I expected Adela to win. However, Ben’s final stab was faster than I expected.
Ben was cleverly hiding a trick.
The moment I saw him, I sensed Adela’s defeat.
He’s thinking of buying some garlic from Ben at a ‘bestie’ discount.
At the last moment, Ben’s thrusts slowed momentarily.
Ben’s complexion wasn’t good, which seemed to be the aftereffect of that.
‘He’s a little weird at important moments.’
It wasn’t called ‘not a human being’ for nothing.
At the most crucial moment, the child failed.
‘Barley really likes it.’
Adela smiled brightly and waved her hands as if she had won a competition show.
The picture was pretty good, but the problem was that Adela didn’t know what ‘moderate’ meant.
As Adela’s celebration of victory continued, those who had initially cheered became quiet.
In the first place, it was a bit strange that he was so happy about winning the friendly duel tournament.
Of course, I was just as happy.
‘A carriage full of garlic.’
My mouth started watering.
Adela, who had been waving her hands repeatedly, stepped forward at Baron Pulpouts’ call.
And then an old tiger-like man comes out.
‘Count Berhard.’
He was the guy who did weird things like scattering canoe petals.
Looking closely, I saw that the chair I was sitting on was covered in canoe petals.
Count Bechard gestured behind him.
Then someone wrapped in a thick black cloth came out next to Count Behart.
When I saw him, a strong impulse came over me.
‘It looks delicious.’
– I agree.
I muttered without realizing it, and was startled by the tenant’s response.
Unlike the previous ones, it didn’t smell delicious, but I could instinctively sense its rich flavor.
In my experience so far, the taste and the risk are proportional.
I had no idea what that level of flavor would be like.
I pretended to scratch my back and stroked the handle of my sword.
Even though it felt cold, my heart kept pounding and didn’t calm down.
The face was not visible, as if there was some special device installed on the sky.
I observed the guy without blinking, but he didn’t even look at me.
The guy didn’t seem to notice me.
Count Behard seemed to be asking the man something and the man seemed to be answering.
After seeing Baron Behar’s movements, it seemed that the relationship between the two was not ordinary.
‘A demon? A warlock? That smells too much…’
It was too early to conduct a simple medieval check, as Count Berhard was right next to him.
There were only four knights standing behind Count Behart, and it was not clear who they were.
I was so hungry that it was painful.
‘···Not now.’
It would have been better to wait for a more appropriate opportunity later.
I had a gut feeling that that time would definitely come.
I turned my head away, trying hard to suppress my impulse.
Adela, who had returned to her usual exemplary knightly form, stood proudly before Count Behar.
Behard praised Adela’s bravery and courage in a loud voice, and the cheers grew louder again.
Adela smiles again.
He looked very excited to receive attention.
‘If this kid was born in modern times, he would be in big trouble.’
I shook my head slightly at that sight.
Count Bechardt gestured, and a familiar scent wafted from somewhere.
And the carriage comes in.
It was the carriage that was behind the carriage that Count Behart rode in.
The horse that was pulling him kept sniffling and sneezing.
He quickly became infected, and those who had been cheering just a moment ago began sneezing repeatedly.
‘Tsk, you uncivilized guys.’
I clicked my tongue at those who don’t know the taste of garlic.
‘I heard that you can catch vampires with garlic. Does it really work?’
I thought about it for a moment, but then shook my head.
Even if it really worked, there was no need to use precious garlic just to catch vampires.
“It’s precious garlic, so take special care of it. Congratulations again.”
“Yes! E-choo! E···echoo!”
Adela tried to hold it in by squeezing her face, but eventually she couldn’t hold it in and sneezed repeatedly.
Count Behard, who received the greeting, also sneezed, so it seemed like it would just pass.
Adela, who had come down after finishing him off, approached me with a subtle expression.
‘Garlic is good, but there’s too much.’
I scratched my cheek as I looked at the carriage full of garlic.
‘Do you dry garlic?’
I couldn’t remember how I stored the garlic.
‘And you have to think about the form too.’
Although I had a cart full of garlic, it had an expiration date, so if I wanted to eat it for the rest of my life, it was better to invest in food.
‘They say that the origin of garlic is the Terang Mountains in the north.’
The Tarang Mountains.
It was a mountain range in the north, and its peak was so high that it was hidden by clouds. Perhaps because of this, there was a legend that dragons lived there.
It actually exists.
‘There were a lot of elves too.’
Additionally, there were many monsters there, so it was a place that people avoided entering unless absolutely necessary.
Still, the dragon fruit from there was so famous that some people would occasionally climb the mountain.
The dragon here really looked like a dragon and even roared.
However, dragons were rare and there were many days when they could not be found.
In such times, garlic was the crop that was dug up to make up for the losses even a little.
Since no one was buying garlic that they dug up, they went with a premium strategy.
The current garlic bubble was formed when some nobles, filled with vanity, bought it at such high prices.
‘Then, should I plant it in the Kirton Mountains?’
The Kirton Mountains east of Cassady are also rugged and have similar monster populations, so it seemed like a good place to plant them.
‘I guess I can ask Dalus.’
The executioner, Dalus, lived in a cabin east of Cassadic.
That’s why Dalus said he often visited the Kirton Mountains, so it seemed like a good idea to ask him to be a guide.
Since there hadn’t been any work since the vampire incident, it seemed like they would help with garlic farming if they paid a small amount of money.
I decided to plant half of it, eat half of it myself, and use the rest to introduce the taste of garlic to uncivilized medieval bastards.
Later, if garlic farming was successful, there had to be buyers, so it was necessary to introduce the taste of garlic to the uncivilized medieval people.
If you eat anything, you will start to taste it. Also, once you get addicted to spicy food, it is hard to get away from it.
It was a business with a guaranteed success.
‘If only I could figure out how to tone down the spiciness…’
While I was thinking about this and that, the awards ceremony for the competition ended.
Adela walked confidently, waving her hand until everyone had left. First, I had to receive the goods, so I followed Adela.
Adela hesitated for a moment in front of the door, glanced at me, then entered the room.
Adela looked up at me proudly and took a moment to catch her breath.
Then he opened his mouth with a determined look on his face.
“I won thanks to you. Thank you… ah.”
I felt like biting a sledgehammer at the way he used the word ‘evil’ as if it were a period and his arrogant tone, but I held back.
Anyway, isn’t it a great barley that earned you 10 garlic and gold coins?
It was only natural to give the tosagupeng time to catch his breath and drink water.
“Of course, it is true that you have my honor. Having the honor of a knight is like having everything I have… ah.”
“Just get to the point.”
Because it was getting too long, I shook my fist and asked for a ‘brief’.
“The 20 gold coins I received for winning, the garlic, and the 10 gold coins Baron Pulpouts suggested. I’ll give you all of them… ugh.”
Adela said, holding out a pouch with the Pulpouts seal on it.
‘Why do you insist on saying the obvious?’
I was suspicious of Adela’s insistence on repeating something that had already been discussed.
It was mine from the beginning.
Originally, even if animals had talent, people made money.
“···Instead, teach me swordsmanship.”
Adela looked at me with her knightly, upright eyes and spoke bluntly.
That stretched-out Adela asked for teaching first···.
As expected, there was nothing that couldn’t be fixed by hitting.
‘Did you think that was the end of it?’
Right now, Barley is a capable fighting dog who has earned a garlic cart and 10 gold coins in this friendly match.
Moreover, since such competitions would be held frequently, there was no way that the promising fighting dog Bori would be released.
It was clear that Barley, who could even roll in the mud to fight, would become the best fighting dog in the East… no, the best fighting dog on the continent.
However, the relationship had to be made clear.
“Barley.”
“I am not Barley, I am Knight Adela···.”
“Barley.”
“···evil!”
When I called twice, Adela quickly returned to her usual expression and answered with her eyes wide open.
“Roll to the left.”
“evil!”
Adela hesitated for a moment, then hurriedly lay down on her back and rolled around.
“Roll to the right.”
“evil!”
‘It rolls well.’
They say even a snail can roll, and it seemed that Adela had the same talent.
‘This one needs to be trained periodically like a weasel.’
I nodded my head as I watched the barley rolling diligently on the floor.
The only good thing is that they are more docile than weasels, so they don’t require much handling.
***
After finishing my barley training, I left Naeseong pulling a garlic cart.
It was fun to see the uncivilized medieval people running away in a frenzy at the smell of the garlic cart that was being pulled around.
When I casually mentioned, “I heard vampires hate garlic,” some of them followed me like a stray dog.
I pulled the carriage and headed to Hae-na’s bar.
“The leader has arrived.”
There were a lot of kids gathered at the bar, drinking.
‘You’re not doing what you’re told… tsk.’
I clicked my tongue and parked the carriage inside the bar. The bar was large, so there was a separate space where I could park the carriage.
I ordered the boys to unload the garlic from the carriage. They grumbled that their eyes were burning, but they moved right away.
Most of it was put into storage, and then about half of it was taken out and taken to the bar.
Even though the sun had not set yet, there were still a lot of people inside the bar.
‘All the thugs are gathered here.’
Everyone from the District 6 guys to the Skane guys gathered here as if it were some kind of hideout.
That meant business was going well, so I nodded in satisfaction.
Kanna, who was playing with the ice, ran over and stuck to my leg.
Behind that Kanna, two men were following, and judging by the bucket helmets, they seemed to be ignorant men called Namaiyad.
‘···escort?’
They said they were executives or something, but it seemed like they were working very hard.
I was worried for a moment that Kanna would get into trouble, but I thought of it as a medieval game and let it go.
“Ugh··· What is that smell···.”
“This is terrible. Did the devil come up?”
When the garlic came in, the guys inside the bar got up and started making noises.
When I asked them if there was anyone who didn’t like the smell of garlic, they laughed heartily and sat back down.
‘There are no racists here.’
I nodded and gestured.
Those guys were so mean that they started crying over a mere garlic transfer.
“Okay, everyone, attention.”
I opened my mouth, pointing to the garlic I had gathered.
I had to research how to eat garlic, but I didn’t have to worry about it.
“I will give 30 silver coins to whoever discovers a delicious way to eat garlic.”
The way for uncivilized people to eat is something that only uncivilized people know best, so if you put up a reasonable amount of money, they will come looking for you.
If the garlic farming there was successful, it was certain that the thirty silver coins would be filled in one go.
As expected, the power of 30 silver coins was tremendous.
The guys who had been holding their noses until just now hurriedly got up from their seats and smiled brightly.
It was a bit of a waste to throw away the garlic, but since no one was going to buy it anyway, any leftover would just rot.
I also needed to accustom them to the taste of garlic.
“I think it would taste really good if you put this in fish bread and eat it.”
“Shut up, Brick.”
Kel, who was next to Brick, swore at him as he muttered.
‘Garlic Cooking Contest.’
I nodded my head as I looked at the disgusted faces of the guys who were huddled around the garlic.
“What are you going to do with the rest?”
Berman asked, his eyes red, perhaps from the shock of the heartbreak.
“I plan to plant it later and cultivate it.”
“Huh? Not a form, but cultivation… Oh, I understand.”
Berman muttered softly and stepped back.
‘Ignorant bastards.’
I shook my head as I watched the guys picking up the garlic while shedding tears.
***
‘I underestimated those medieval people.’
I let out a sigh as I looked at the strange thing before me.
“This… this is garlic beer! The bitterness of beer and the spiciness of garlic combine to create the best flavor!”
A bearded man grinned and held out a mug of beer, topped with slices of garlic.
Contrary to what he said, the bastard shed tears. It was clear that the tears were not from the taste.
“Try it.”
“Haha···. That···.”
The guy hesitated for a moment, then when I frowned, he brought the beer mug to his lips and drank it in gulps.
Before I could even finish three sips, the guy took a long gulp of his beer.
“next.”
I waved my hand lightly.
The guy who looked very gloomy stepped aside.
Volunteers who had been waiting rushed in and cleared the examination room.
“It’s a garlic fist. If you hit it, it will make the opponent cry.”
Next up was Scar Nom.
It seemed like there was no concept of cooking at all.
I kicked him out without even having to listen.
Next was Kanna.
Unlike the others, Kanna nodded while looking at me with bright eyes.
‘Yes, if it’s Kanna.’
Kanna, who used to eat roasted garlic often.
Moreover, since Kanna was the youngest magician to be promoted to the position of Cassadic, expectations were high.
Of course, there weren’t many wizards in Cassadic.
The noisy room suddenly became quiet when Kanna appeared. The guys wearing buckets were swearing harshly and trying to keep them quiet.
Amidst the attention of the people, Kanna held out a small wooden box.
When I received it, the box was very cold.
A feeling of uneasiness began to creep up on him.
‘Why is this garlic dish cold?’
I slowly opened the box, trying to control my expression.
When I opened the box, cool smoke rose up.
It feels like putting dry ice in water.
As the cloud of smoke cleared, the contents inside became visible.
Bubbling beads floating on clear water.
The faint smell was definitely garlic, but the shape was ambiguous as to whether it was garlic.
It was just a very small circle, like an ice cream cone.
I stared at him blankly for a moment, then picked up a few with my fingers and put them in my mouth.
Very subtle sweetness.
I couldn’t taste any spiciness at all.
The problem was that I didn’t know if it was garlic.
‘···Molecular cuisine?’
A look and taste that is far removed from reality.
A word that had been in my memory suddenly came to mind.
‘Molecular gastronomy in the Middle Ages…? Why?’
I was skeptical about the emergence of molecular cuisine, which has no beginning or end.
I thought about what to do for a moment and then nodded.
‘But molecular gastronomy is a modern technology.’
It’s a shame that the garlic flavor is gone and the process must have been very tedious, but it wasn’t a dish that was eliminated from the preliminaries.
I beckoned Kanna closer and placed a necklace with a small garlic stone statue around her neck.
Kanna, who received him, jumped up and down in joy and then disappeared.
The preliminary contestants waiting nearby applauded and cheered.
“next.”
Next up were Brick and Marsha.
If Brick had come out, I would have hit him and chased him away, but I couldn’t do that since I had brought Marsha with me.
Masha held out the fish garlic bread.
“The garlic completely removes the slight fishy smell of the fish bread, making it a great combination!”
Brick said confidently, holding out the ugly thing.
‘옅은 비린내는 염병··· 개새끼.’
What a coward he was to bring my mother here.
I gulped as I looked at the hideous thing in my hand.
It was the fish bread that kept lingering around me like an unending evil relationship. And this time, it even had raw garlic added to it…
“Oh, Aaron. Where does it hurt?”
However, I could only shake my head and put it in my mouth at Marsha’s kind question.
Squishy.
The sea I saw after a long time.
An unknown fish swimming diligently inside it.
The grudge of having one’s body pierced by the harpoon of an uncivilized medieval man was completely conveyed.
‘Those damn fishermen!’
That moment.
Black garlic rolled in and appeased the fish’s resentment. Black garlic filled the pierced area with care.
The two eventually merged.
The upper body is like fish and the lower body is like garlic.
It was half life and half death.
‘Why is it delicious?’
I didn’t want to admit it, but the black garlic’s unique spiciness really took away the fishy smell and made it taste really great.
“···Ooooh!!”
It was a taste that made me exclaim in admiration without realizing it.
I took another bite just in case, but an inexplicable deliciousness filled my mouth.
It was a strange combination, like negative numbers multiplying to make a positive number.
No, this was a negative cube.
It was that delicious.
Although my hands were really heavy, the judgment had to be fair and just.
I moved my still hand and held out my certificate.
“It’s fish bread, after all! The specialty of the Brighton Kingdom! Charlotte, wait! 30 gold to go!”
Brick, very excited, kept bouncing his hips and shaking his fangs.
It was really ugly, but I couldn’t hit it because Marsha was right next to me.
“Thank you, Aaron. Come to the store with your wife sometime.”
I nodded at Masha’s kind words.
“next.”
I took a sip of beer to wash away the remaining taste.
The coolness erased the remaining taste in my mouth.
“The dish I came up with is garlic apple.”
The man who finally came in was a fruit merchant.
He proudly held out a slice of peeled apple with a clove of garlic on it.
I squinted my eyes to see if there was something there, but it was just garlic on top of an apple.
“Isn’t that just an apple with garlic on it?”
“It may look like that, but if you look closely, you can see that they are all similarly placed···.”
“get out.”
The other guys grabbed the struggling guy and dragged him out.
“···next.”
I waved my hands, feeling the judges’ fatigue.
***
‘···That’s not true.’
Weasel… no, Dylan grumbled, caressing his cold face.
As usual, the cub suddenly attacked and Dylan was left helpless.
‘Did you get caught talking behind my back? Or did you know that I was the one who burned the imperial flag? Or…’
Dylan couldn’t even protest because there were so many things to worry about.
The sad thing is that the punk’s fist hurts a lot, but it doesn’t leave a scar.
The bastard was clearly an expert at hitting people.
However, Dylan’s heart began to feel a sense of resentment as he continued to speak.
‘I told you I really didn’t steal it.’
You stole the gold coins that were supposed to go to the cubs while you were checking them!
I got hit like that last time, so unless I was crazy, there’s no way I would touch that guy’s stuff in front of a clear witness!
Of course, I had the urge, but Dylan slapped me in the face to stop me because there were witnesses.
‘Tell me why first and then hit me… I got hit more for confessing for no reason.’
Dylan spat.
Red spit mixed with blood sprayed onto the floor.
Still, it ended at a reasonable level.
‘But what do you want me to do about this?’
The problem was the strange object the cub had entrusted to him.
He called it garlic, but it was clearly the devil’s stuff.
A devilish thing that makes you cry just by being next to it because of its spicy smell.
The cub left these in Dylan’s hands with a short speech.
‘Bring me the gold and find a way to enjoy it?’
Just in case, Dylan cracked open one and took a big bite.
After a brief sweetness, my mouth became extremely hot.
The roasted garlic that the ten pups ate before was spicy, but now it was nothing compared to that.
Dylan’s tongue flicked and heaved as his mouth felt like it was on fire.
After running like that for a while, I finally sank after sticking my tongue in the mud.
‘How can I get rid of this awful spiciness?’
The intense taste made me even more worried.
Dylan walked around with a heavy heart. Tears streamed down his face as he smelled the garlic that was thick in the streets.
A fragrant smell wafted from somewhere.
Dylan unconsciously followed him.
In the middle of the road leading from the outer wall to the inner wall, there was a large cauldron boiling.
There were maids running around busily, and there were also familiar faces.
‘Hannah and Swallows?’
Dylan, whose stomach was very upset because of the garlic from earlier, approached hesitantly but was stopped by the soldiers.
“Even the outer wall guards cannot approach.”
“Oh, it’s one of our people.”
At Hannah’s words, the soldier stepped aside with a suspicious look in his eyes.
‘If you get stabbed in the back of the head, you’re a dead man.’
Dylan touched the dagger briefly and laughed, ‘Hehe…’ before going inside.
The huge pot was filled with a huge stew, very rich in ingredients.
Gulp.
The sight reminded me of the stew I had eaten when I first went on a mission with the old punks.
‘It was really delicious back then.’
Dylan turned his head, smacking his lips again.
I wondered why the Swallows were here, but they were using magic to light a fire under the cauldron.
Everyone was very busy.
The soldiers who had previously prevented us from entering were also standing some distance away, perhaps because of the heat.
Nobody cared about Dylan.
Dylan suddenly felt that the stew in the pot was very large.
It was so big that it seemed like the taste wouldn’t change even if I put in a single garlic clove from my pocket.
Dylan threw the garlic in without realizing it.
Fondant.
The garlic sank into the stew with a very small sound.
‘After all, stew is the best dish. It’s delicious no matter what you put in it.’
Dylan nodded, looking at the stew that had become strangely dark in color. As always, the more you add to a stew, the deeper its flavor becomes.
It wasn’t for nothing that the mercenaries added dried meat.
In a stew like that, you wouldn’t even notice the garlic. If you didn’t get that damned taste, then this was a really delicious way to eat garlic.
Dylan applauded, impressed by his brilliant thinking.
“It’s almost finished now. Since the nobles are also eating it, it’s really busy.”
As Dylan nodded in satisfaction, Hannah approached.
Dylan’s back snapped at Hannah’s muttering.
“Sister-in-law, are you saying that nobles eat together too?”
Dylan moved his mouth, stammering.
“Yes. Oh, Dylan didn’t know because he wasn’t there for the young lady’s birthday last year. Every time on the young lady’s birthday, we boil a big pot of stew and share it with everyone. That’s why the security is so tight. Anyway, I’ll feed it to the maids first and check tomorrow… Phew, if we boil it like this all day, it’ll be really delicious tomorrow, right?”
Why do nobles eat the same stew as commoners?
Dylan looked down at the stew hastily.
It was definitely a darker color than before.
‘···.’
The weasel looked down at the stew for a long time, feeling an indescribable emotion.
The stew looked just like a guillotine.
Dylan’s eyes welled up with tears at the sight of the boiling guillotine.
‘It’s all because of that kid’s stubbornness…’
Dylan wiped away the tears from his eyes.
Then, Hannah tasted the stew with a ladle.
Dylan muttered, “Please,” and stared at Hannah’s profile.
“···hmm?”
Hannah’s slightly furrowed eyebrows and subtle exclamations.
Dylan’s heart sank.
Memories of being beaten by the punks flashed before my eyes.
Hannah’s pointed nose looked sharp like the devil’s.
“···It’s really delicious? Is it because there are so many ingredients in it?”
Hannah’s words continued.
‘Ah, my sister-in-law is truly an angel.’
There’s a reason his nose is so pointy.
It was clear that it also served the function of an angel’s horn.
However, Dylan was not satisfied with Hannah’s reaction.
Because Dylan couldn’t stand the unpleasantness, he hurriedly called the maids and soldiers around him and had them taste it.
Everyone’s response was good.
But my heart still wasn’t at ease.
At that moment, I saw Swallows getting up and moving away.
A stubbornly ugly face.
It had a strangely noble feel!
‘I guess I’ll just feed it to him!’
Dylan quickly grabbed the bastard by the scruff of the neck.
“What… what?!”
‘This kid’s expression···.’
Dylan felt a strange sense of awkwardness at the startled reaction of his opponent.
The sight was exactly like that of the kid who had cursed at me.
“You have a taste too!”
“I’m done. I’ve already eaten a big meal.”
“Taste it!”
Dylan’s anxiety grew even more as the bastard refused.
Don’t you think those who look like nobles hate it just because of its smell?
“I told you to try some! Why are you refusing like this!”
“I told you I ate a lot! Let go of this!”
Dylan’s discomfort was maximized by the guy’s fierce resistance that went beyond simple dislike.
There was a guy there who was a wizard, but all he really showed was a bunch of worthless fireballs and a piece of shit with no muscles.
“Eat! Eat! Why aren’t you eating!”
Dylan grabbed the back of the bastard’s neck more violently.
Just by looking at the thing being dragged in, it was clear that it was shit.
Dylan’s arms tightened.
“I told you I ate it! Let go of my hand. If you don’t let go right now….”
However, the guy’s muttering continued.
Instinctive alarms rang out.
Dylan quickly let go of him and backed away.
‘Those eyes···.’
The bastard’s sharp, piercing eyes felt extremely dangerous.
The surrounding attention was focused on the two people’s commotion.
“I told you I already ate a lot. Why do you keep being so stubborn?”
The guy looked around and said with a bewildered face.
Gulp-.
Unlike before, when Dylan kept his mouth shut due to a feeling of danger.
“What’s going on there?”
A handsome knight approached.
The changing expression of the guy.
Dylan instinctively felt that the tables had turned.
Since the situation was already chaotic, we had to be more forceful.
“Oh, well, when I tell him to taste it, he stubbornly refuses to eat it! He acts as if he’s been poisoned!”
Dylan, speaking with as much exaggeration as possible, hid behind the article and pointed at the guy.
However, the bastard’s expression was strange.
“Are you talking about poison?”
The knight lowered his hand towards the sword as he asked.
Dylan gulped at the seriousness of the situation.
“Poison! What are you talking about! I just didn’t eat it because I wasn’t hungry! And everyone else ate it too, and it didn’t matter!”
The usually calm guy started yelling, but the reaction from those around him was cold.
“Just have one bite! How can you be so full that you can’t even eat one bite?”
Dylan spoke again hurriedly.
Suddenly···.
The man who had been gnashing his teeth picked up the bowl on the floor and drank it in gulps.
After a moment of silence, the man raised both his hands to indicate that he was safe.
“I think there was a misunderstanding.”
The knight stepped back again.
“But how did it taste?”
Dylan approached the guy and asked him question slyly.
“It’s sooooooo delicious. Sooooo delicious!”
It was so delicious that tears were welling up in his eyes.
Only then did Dylan feel relieved.
