Helmut: The Forsaken Child Chapter 134

#134

Helmut

Episode 134

“Pasho.”

When Talon called, Fasho stood up with difficulty and staggered towards him. It seemed to be in better condition than I thought. I even didn’t forget to take my severed finger with me.

‘Maybe they should have cut off the other hand too.’

I still felt like it was lacking. Fasho lowered her head and spoke in a low voice.

“I’m sorry, Talon.”

“No, I need to heal myself first. “The situation makes no sense.”

Fasho took the potion handed to him by Talon and drank it. Helmut frowned.

‘It would be difficult if I recovered and rushed at him.’

Fortunately, it seems that the potion was not that effective. Enough to attach a severed finger.

After replenishing his energy, Fasho straightened his bent back and stood up. There is no time to stare blankly. Helmut gathered his luggage and turned his back on them.

“I’m done. “It better go away quickly.”

“Oh, wait.”

Before retreating, he called Helmut to him.

“Let me give you some advice.”

Helmut looked back at him with an expressionless face.

“What.”

“You have good skills and good judgment.”

It’s a sudden compliment. Helmut maintained his expressionless expression.

“If there is one drawback, I don’t know if it is soft or calculated, but it is that I hesitate. “No matter what the enemy says, there are times when it would be better to cut off his head right away.”

Does this mean it would have been a good idea to kill Fasho? Calm tone of voice. But strangely, it stuck in my ears. I think it’s useless advice, though.

The reason Helmut listened to the other person was because there was a need to do so.

In desperate moments, the human mouth pours out a lot of information. Also, he has the limitation of being a sprout of darkness.

What this means is that when you commit murder, you must consider whether this murder is necessary.

“I guess so. “But I’m a student at Greta Academy.”

“Are you saying you will refrain from murder just because you are a student? “Interesting.”

“Think whatever you want.”

With those last words, Helmut turned his back again. This time he didn’t get caught.

I could feel Talon and Fasho moving behind me. Since they are used to acting secretly, they will get out of the forest without a problem.

Helmut was thinking about what to do with his cloak, but he stuffed it inside his clothes and wrapped it around his waist. The cloak was thin and light, like a high-end product with a space expansion spell. It’s not that noticeable.

I felt magic coming from the front. It looked like Professor Dwayne was searching the surroundings using search magic. Helmut went straight towards it.

“Helmut!”

Instructor Alan, who discovered him, shouted in surprise.

“Are you okay?”

Helmut spread both hands to indicate that there was no problem. I got hurt a bit from breaking the rock earlier, but there were no bloody cuts. He has already begun to heal with tremendous resilience.

Instructor Alan came closer, put his chin on his shoulder and sighed.

“You’re chasing an assassin alone! Such recklessness!”

“Nothing happened. “I couldn’t keep up.”

Helmut lied calmly.

“It’s not that kind of problem. You are now chasing the assassin alone. “No matter how angry I was because my friends got hurt, what if something happened?”

“It’s okay because there wasn’t one. “Let’s go back.”

Helmut spoke so clearly that Instructor Allan was left speechless.

“There, I found it. thank god.”

Professor Dwayne soon appeared. His face was wet with sweat.

This side of the road was not properly paved and the slope was curved. That’s why, as soon as he detected Helmut’s presence with his search magic, Allan rushed here first.

It was a sense of responsibility as an instructor, as they chose to stay away from the forest where the assassin was, without considering their own safety. Helmut added, tilting his head to the side.

“I am strong.”

I felt like I needed to tell you that. So that you can rest assured. So that the instructor can understand that he was neither reckless nor dangerous.

“know. Anyway, go back and tell me.”

Instructor Alan shook his head. He didn’t seem very convinced.

‘I have to go find the horse.’

I know where the horse is. But there is no way to explain how I knew that. That’s why I couldn’t go looking for it now.

Are you sure they aren’t going there? Helmut became slightly anxious.

***

While Professor Dwayne was casting a healing spell on the wounded on one side, Helmut explained what had happened to him. Be as concise as possible, leaving out everything that needs to be left out. The story was easy because Andro had already explained it.

After hearing his words, Instructor Patricia quietly touched her forehead.

“So the assassin escaped? “Have you not seen me at all?”

“Yes, I was on my way but the trail got cut off so I came back.”

My conscience was prickling as I kept lying. Helmut thought he had adapted quite well to the Greta Academy. He saw that he had something called conscience.

“I don’t know what Dino’s condition is.”

Helmut did not explain in detail how he saved the runaway Dino.

However, Dino’s condition was too strange to remain silent. He felt like they needed to know what happened to him before he could be cured.

Helmut briefly explained the reason why Dino went on a rampage. They said they injected Dino with demonic energy. And at some point while fighting against him, Dino collapsed.

The intermediate process of Helmut removing demonic energy was omitted, but it was not a lie.

“There is a subtle but magical energy remaining in the body. “Maybe we should take it to a temple and purify it.”

Professor Dwayne, who examined Dino’s condition, shook his head and added: Helmut’s body slightly flinched at the sound of a temple.

“I was really lucky. If Magi and Vis collided, he would probably have died as his blood vessels ruptured. “It seems like somehow the demonic energy came out of her body.”

“Black Hawk, these guys are really persistent. “I had no idea they would send someone to a place like this.”

“I should have contacted you sooner. The reason you became dangerous was because we were complacent. “I’m sorry.”

Instructor Patricia apologized and patted Helmut on the shoulder. What they saw when they arrived was truly shocking.

Asuka is coughing up blood, James is a rag, and Dino is unconscious with his fingers cut off. And Helmut disappeared. The only one who was okay was Andro.

‘I brought the risk on myself.’

It was Helmut’s own decision not to tell the instructor in the first place. He enjoyed the fact that the enemy was roaming around. He enjoyed the tension.

But at some point, I stopped being able to enjoy it. Is it because his team members are in danger?

The moment I returned to the campsite and saw my fallen classmates, I became angry. So I realized. She realized that she was different from before.

The Helmut of today is not the man of the past who only thought about himself and did not need to look out for others.

Another inconvenient limitation has arisen. He was bound by restrictions and became unfree. He was unfamiliar.

But I didn’t feel any resistance. The change was not pleasant, but it was not unacceptable. I feel like I have walked one step further into the crowd of people.

Instructor Alan, Instructor Patricia, and Professor Dwayne began a meeting among themselves.

Because we were in a hurry, we vacated the campsite. Moving all these people would be too much for Professor Dwayne, who had already used healing magic.

Returning with these five students was a problem, and they also had to decide what to do with the remaining day of their hunting outing.

‘If things continue like this, when will we find words?’

For now, the matter was of utmost importance to Helmut. It seems that acting alone will no longer be permitted. But he couldn’t leave his beloved horse like this. I feel a little anxious.

“Oh, I think I’ll buy something.”

Asuka, who was stretched out, received treatment and gulped down water. Even though he almost died, he looked calm as if he had not suffered any mental damage.

He succeeded by cutting off the assassin’s arm. I feel good because I fought well against a stronger opponent than myself. It was just like Asuka.

In contrast, the other two had dark complexions. His face is filled with the desire to go back quickly.

The reason there were two was because the other one, Dino, was not yet conscious.

Asuka, who was drinking water, suddenly opened her eyes wide and raised her finger.

“Uh, look over there.”

Helmut was already looking that way. A white horse appeared from the forest with the sound of clattering hooves. Helmut raised his eyebrows.

“white.”

The horse looked cheerful, as if it had come from playing in the forest. White, who seemed to have recognized my name, calmly walked over and stood in front of him.

Helmut stroked the horse’s mane again. White purred happily. At first glance, it doesn’t look like he was trying to trick me. Is this some kind of after-sales service?

‘It’s pretty good.’

Helmut suddenly liked Talon. He had some emotions left over from having taken down a game he almost killed, but even that seemed to have subsided.

Soon after, four horses appeared in a line. Andro and James stood up.

“How did this happen?”

“Why did the horse come back?”

Although they were confused, everyone was happy that they had regained their senses. The horse he had ridden for a long time was bound to be precious to the prosecutor. Like a sword, it is trained to suit me.

“It’s amazing how a lost horse can come back.”

Professor Dwayne used magic to check the horse’s condition. Unable to find anything wrong, he immediately shrugged his shoulders.

“It looks like you haven’t been manipulating your words.”

The voices of Instructor Patricia and Instructor Alan followed.

“It feels strange. “The assassin returned the horse.”

“Maybe it’s just that something that was chased away has come back, or the strings that bound it have come loose, but it sure feels strange.”

“I have to hurry and take the students back.”

Now that I have words, things become easier. The three agreed on what to do. Instructor Patricia opened her mouth to the five members of Group 9.

“I have requested support from the academy. It’s an emergency, so faculty from the magic and swordsmanship departments will arrive soon.

We have to welcome them and gather other students, so Professor Dwayne and I go back to camp first with Dino.

The remaining five will have to suffer a bit. “I have luggage, so I’ll have to ride back with Instructor Alan.”

Unless I was going to abuse Professor Dwayne, I couldn’t move everything with magic.

Dino, who is unconscious, cannot ride a horse, and Professor Dwayne has too many students to contact to get back on his own. So it was a decision made.

“I don’t have any problem!”

The one who seemed pleased was Asuka, who had a lot of baggage. As if he were going on a hunting picnic, he packed all sorts of things and brought them on his back.

One of them was a magic scroll that created a vacuum in a certain area, so it was worth it because it was useful.

“I have a crystal ball, so please call me if anything happens on the way, Alan. “We’ll go first.”

“Yes, Patricia, I’ll see you at camp.”

With that, the method of return was decided.

***

Instructor Dwayne and three others left first, then packed their bags and left immediately. Just like when we arrived at Group 9’s area, the journey took a full four hours.

Healing magic only heals wounds. Everyone fought the battle without sleeping properly. I had nothing to eat, but I was hungry.

If you just look at the amount of exercise, training is more difficult. However, the extreme tension drained my stamina.

When they saw the first campsite they had left, the tired members of Group 9 all felt relieved. It was the same for Helmut.

“Helmut!”

As they entered the camp, a man ran towards them.

“Instructor Ethan.”

Helmut bowed his head. He had an urgent look on his face that was unusual for someone who was always serious. Ethan approached without paying attention to anyone else and grabbed Helmut’s shoulders as he got off his horse.

“Helmut you told me, I never thought something like this would really happen.”

I guess I’ve already heard that the Black Hawks attacked.

Ethan Kudrow knows what happened between Helmut and Black Hawk. Because he said it before. Helmut responded lightly.

“I didn’t expect it either, so you don’t have to blame yourself.”

“I should have come too… … “I’m sorry.”

Ethan wiped his distorted face. It was quite nice to feel like someone was worried about you.

As Helmut changed, the people around him also changed. The change was significant.
