Chapter 30 – The Illusionary Couple
Day of Doom.
The last days of Mad Endymion – the capital of the Magic Kingdom of Magellan, which did not fall even in a direct confrontation with the powerful Demon Prince of Hell.
Kwagagagagagagaga-!
At first it was a vibration.
Soon, a tremendous roar rang out, and the surrounding area – no, the entire underground area – shook.
Kkwack! Kkwack!
It was no ordinary earthquake.
The ground was torn apart into dozens and hundreds of rips. Huge cracks spread, destroying the beautiful and elegant buildings built by the high elves long ago.
Whoosh-! Whoosh-!
Hundreds of buildings collapsed like dominoes.
The rumbling on the ground did not stop, but rather grew louder, and countless pieces of debris began to rain down from the ceiling.
Dragon vein.
A great current of power flowing underground in the wild lands.
The source of the power of the wild gods, and the power of a powerful star.
Some of them went wild.
The very same dragon vein that the high elves used as the city’s energy source in the past exploded after being stimulated by Calamite’s spear.
Quagagagagagaga!
Flames surged through the torn ground.
And there was light.
A terrifying force soared to the ceiling, destroying everything in its path.
It only took a few seconds for all this to happen.
“Eww!”
“Creamy!”
“Kaaaak!”
The beasts of hell screamed one by one.
Even Bandai Zell was unable to look back at Uder and Cordelia as they floundered in the midst of the terrifying natural disaster.
But it wasn’t Yuder.
He opened his eyes wide and grabbed Cordelia by the shoulders, shouting.
“Hey! Are you crazy!”
It was an emergency, a truly terribly dangerous crisis, but I still couldn’t help but say something.
And Cordelia responded to that.
“You said you believed in me!”
“Fuck! What you believe is what you believe!”
“Ouch! You swore! That’s too much!”
“You do it all the time!”
That was it.
There was no time to argue any longer.
The floor began to shake and collapse, and the ceiling was also collapsing.
Debris from the impact scattered in all directions.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
“Fuck.”
Uder spoke again.
It was not an exclamation, but a sincere one, but Cordelia didn’t care. She suddenly hugged Uther tightly and shouted.
“I trust you too!”
And what activates it is a shield.
He created the Calamite Spear and used all his remaining strength to activate Count Chase’s ring, and a translucent blue shield covered the two people embracing each other.
“Fuck.”
Uther cursed again and hugged Cordelia.
After giving her the so-called princess hug, she looked up at the ceiling.
“I will believe you.”
Cordelia’s voice was heard faintly through the loud noise. Instead of responding, Uther jumped up immediately.
I don’t know what the hell this crazy thing was, but if I didn’t do it, I would die.
“Woooooooo!”
Jump up and kick the collapsing floor.
Capture the falling debris and calculate its path in an instant.
Uther held his breath.
It flew up, creating a whirlwind and a gale!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The deafening roar continued.
In it, Uther continued to scream, kicking away the falling debris as he rose and rose again.
thud!
Debris hit the shield.
Thanks to the shield, he wasn’t hurt, but thanks to it, Yuder, who was rising, fell.
But it only lasted a moment.
The fall was momentarily halted as Yuder spun his body in the air and created a strong wind.
Cordelia, who had been hugging Uther’s neck, used her flying magic to propel Uther once again.
“Let’s go!”
Cordelia shouted and Uther spun around again.
It broke through the debris like a whirlwind.
Kwagagagagaga-!
The wind blew the debris away.
The small debris was pushed away by the shield.
A little bit more up.
Avoiding the debris,
Avoiding the pouring ceiling-
Quagaga!
It was a crowd.
This time the falling ceiling debris was too big.
It seemed as if it was covering the sky.
But Uder didn’t give up.
He shouted, putting strength into the arms holding Cordelia.
“Cordelia!”
“okay!”
Uther released his shield.
Cordelia gathered up the last of her strength and hurled the Calamite spear into the sky.
“Spiral!”
A rotating Calamite spear pierced the ceiling. It didn’t completely destroy it, but it managed to make a hole.
In the meantime, Yuder rushed in.
I somersaulted through a hole that must have been two meters in diameter, then used the large piece of ceiling debris as a springboard to jump again.
“Wow!”
“It’s heaven!”
It was just as Cordelia said.
A clear blue sky welcomed Uther and Cordelia.
The sunlight pouring down was so beautiful.
But it is a heavenly sight.
The towering Uder looked down at the ground and apologized to countless people without realizing it.
A huge crater hundreds of meters in diameter was created.
Hundreds and thousands of pieces of debris were piled up in a mess on the collapsed ground.
“crazy.”
“Ta-da.”
The last one was Cordelia. She had an awkward expression, perhaps because she had some shame, but she still stuck her tongue out.
And settle on the ground.
Uther looked at Cordelia with a face full of mixed emotions, and Cordelia pursed her lips and tried to make an excuse.
But it wasn’t yet.
Quagga-
It was quite quiet at first.
Kwagagagagagak-!
But it grew little by little.
It wasn’t a sound coming from an underground city that had already collapsed.
The crack was spreading further.
The cracks that stretched out as if they were threatening to collapse not only the central underground city but all of Endymion eventually began to climb up the Blade Beak Canyon.
“uh······.”
The moment Cordelia spoke absentmindedly.
Kwagagagagagagagagang!
The second great collapse has begun.
Part of the Blade Beak Canyon collapsed, triggering an avalanche and a chain of explosions and collapses that spanned an area hundreds of meters across and several kilometers across.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Surprisingly, the time that the loud noise continued was short.
Because they were all smashed to pieces at once.
Kuku-
The last sound heard from afar.
Then a silence that seemed like a lie followed.
The canyon surrounding Endymion collapsed in half, changing the direction of the wind, and the wind that blew in hit Uther and Cordelia.
And then another few seconds.
Uther put Cordelia down on the floor, and Cordelia, who had to stand on her own two feet, hesitated for a moment before smiling awkwardly and making a V sign with her fingers.
“Wow, problem solved!”
Anyway, the gates of hell have been closed.
Because the goal has been achieved.
Uther watched Cordelia like that quietly, and then took action.
He raised both hands and pinched Cordelia’s cheeks.
“Problem solved? Problem solved? Problem solved?”
Cordelia, who had tears in her eyes without realizing it as she pulled her soft cheeks to the side, immediately counterattacked.
“The seaweed is delicious!”
Cordelia pinched both of Uther’s cheeks equally, letting out a strange pronunciation.
“What the heck? What the heck?!”
“It hurts! It hurts! Stop it!”
Cordelia almost cried as Uther’s grip tightened, but the issue was the issue.
When Uther didn’t let go, Cordelia pinched him harder.
“Leave Paris alone!”
“You let go of the moon!”
It was a moment when they were continuing their mutually assured destruction by pinching each other’s cheeks like that.
Papapapapapapa-!
White rings of light appeared in succession around Uther and Cordelia’s chests.
They were coming in so fast that it was hard to even count them, but I guess there were probably close to ten.
“Revive! Revive! Thanks to me!”
Because I annihilated all the hellish monsters that invaded Endymion.
Since it was an indirect defeat rather than a direct defeat, the experience points were reduced, but since there were so many of them, I had no choice but to level up a lot.
“Leave Paris alone! Paris!”
“Ugh.”
At Cordelia’s insistence, Uther let go of her hand first, making a grunt.
Then Cordelia immediately took her hand off Uther’s cheek, not so much to keep her promise as to cover her own cheek.
“Ouch! It really hurts. It’s too much. It was bad.”
The sight of a beautiful girl sobbing with her cheeks flushed red was enough to make Uther the worst bastard in the world, but there were only Uther and Cordelia there.
Uder said, narrowing his eyes.
“Put your hand on your heart and think.”
“Sob sob. You said you believed me.”
It was then that Cordelia pretended to cry again.
bang!
Lena appeared, breaking through the debris with a loud noise.
Moreover, he was not alone. Kaplan and Bellagio Luke also showed their heads above ground, though with faces that were almost dying.
“Uder? Cordelia?”
“Lena! I’m glad you’re safe!”
Cordelia ran straight to Lena and shouted, and Uther sighed and walked away.
It was Lena, Lena, but Kaplan and Bellagio Luke were also worried.
And a few more steps.
What Uder expected happened.
“Ah, Endymion! Endymion, the capital of the Magic Kingdom of Magellan······!”
Kaplan was an archaeologist, and he knew more about the value of Endymion than anyone else here.
“Ugh··· Ugh······.”
Kaplan, who had been staggering while holding the back of his neck, fell down foaming at the mouth, and Uder understood him.
It was a tragedy – no, a catastrophe – that the ancient ruins that had preserved their appearance intact for over a thousand years – the city of the High Elves that had survived the fight against the mighty Demon Prince – were destroyed in an instant to the point where it was difficult to find a trace.
“Heh heh. Woof woof!”
Bellagio Luke slapped the unconscious Kaplan in the face and shouted.
Unlike Cordelia, Uther couldn’t understand beast language, but Kaplan seemed to be saying that it was okay.
And in the midst of all this, Cordelia hugged Lena tightly and asked with a big smile.
“Lena! The gates of hell are gone?”
“Huh? Uh… Yes. It must have disappeared. Probably… No, absolutely not….”
It would not be an exaggeration to say that Endymion itself had disappeared.
Lena’s face, blankly staring at the surrounding area that had been devastated, was that of a person who had lost her mind, but Cordelia was satisfied with the answer itself.
He turned to Yuder and smiled brightly, making a V sign again.
“Problem solved! What?!”
The strange sound at the end was because Uther pinched Cordelia’s cheek again.
“It hurts!”
“They say it hurts when you pinch me.”
Actually, this time I had slightly different feelings.
‘It’s so smooth.’
It’s also cute when he rebels after being pinched.
It was when Uther punished Cordelia with such a little selfishness.
“Eww!”
A terrible roar was heard from afar.
No, it was clearly an angry roar.
Kwagagagagang!
A giant demon flew up through the rubble.
Bandai Gel.
He who rules over the Lactoes, soared through the rubble, his giant bat wings spread wide.
A demon with a nickname.
He was the one who survived even while other hellish monsters were being annihilated.
“Bandai Gel······.”
Tension spread across Lena’s face.
But it wasn’t Uther and Cordelia.
Cordelia rolled her eyes with her cheek pinched, and Uther obediently released Cordelia’s cheek and turned around to follow her.
Bandai Gel.
A demon who becomes insanely angry and unleashes his powers indiscriminately.
“It’s covered in blood.”
“You’re badly hurt.”
“Bleeding from the head.”
“If you look closely, even the horn is a bit broken.”
It wasn’t easy for Bandai Gel to avoid the debris due to his large size.
It looked like he had been buried alive under the rubble.
“Hey, Yuder. Haven’t we seen this situation before?”
“I’ve seen it before.”
“Right? It’s the same as before, right?”
A stage boss that is half dead because the stage itself is destroyed.
A smile spread across Uther and Cordelia’s faces.
And then Bandai Zell, who had finally caught sight of Uder and Cordelia from afar, let out his anger again.
“Eww! What color is your blood!”
To collapse the city itself.
If the ancient high elves knew this, they would shed tears of blood!
But Uther and Cordelia were already not thinking in that direction.
Cordelia said with sparkling eyes.
“That’s the same.”
“I guess they’re training ambassadors in hell.”
“Okay. Let’s increase the pattern a bit.”
As usual, Uther and Cordelia were having a blast, and as if they had made a promise, they searched each other’s waists and soon each took out a bottle of potion.
And just like that, gulp gulp.
Bandai Gel burst into rage again.
Lena looked back and forth between Yuder, Cordelia, and Bandaizel with a face filled with tension and confusion, and Yuder and Cordelia emptied their vials in one go and turned around at the same time. As if they had made a promise, they threw the vials at the exact same time and stepped forward, speaking.
“Shall we start a boss fight?”
“This time it’s not Phase 3… It’s probably Phase 2.”
Because Bandai Gel’s condition was better than the intermediate mines I had faced before.
Even though it was rotten, it was still a devil with a nickname.
But Cordelia wasn’t worried.
He said with flashing fangs.
“It’s okay. We have Lena.”
“Should I get some help?”
“It’s time to receive it.”
At that moment, Lena, who was about to give a hard time, blinked, not knowing what was being said.
Uther and Cordelia looked back at each other, exchanged glances, and without saying who would go first, they both kicked the ground.
