< Chapter 40 - The Snow Queen #3 >
&
Cordelia couldn’t see ahead.
But I could definitely feel it.
The arms of Yuder, who were trustworthy and reliable, holding her waist tightly.
Cordelia herself entered Uther’s arms, not knowing when she had grown so much.
And I could hear.
The roar of the four dragons.
A mighty force arises and breaks the oncoming forces of destruction.
It felt like the hairs on my whole body were standing on end.
A shiver ran down my spine and my heart pounded.
The nine heavenly gates and nine gates of the sacrificial rite.
That’s what changed.
Four black dragons that were summoned at the same time.
‘Strong.’
It’s definitely changed.
3.8 became 4, which wasn’t just a little bit stronger. By opening the fourth door, I was entering a completely different realm.
‘scared.’
I had that thought, just a little bit. It was because the dragon energy that arose from Yuder’s entire body was so ominous.
anger.
rage.
A passionate feeling that seems like it might explode at any moment.
‘It hurts······.’
It was because Uther had hugged Cordelia so tightly that her waist was crushed.
My back felt like it was going to break.
‘This idiot!’
But my voice wouldn’t come out properly. My whole body was so weak that I couldn’t do anything.
And then I felt a touch.
The senses, which had become more sensitive because they were invisible, captured it precisely. Yuder’s hand, which had poured out the black dragon, touched Cordelia’s cheek.
Cordelia flinched.
My fear grew a little bigger.
But it only lasted a moment.
Because I understood it right away.
What is the cause of Uther’s anger?
How careful and gentle was the touch of Yuder’s hand that touched me just now.
“Healing.”
Uther caressed Cordelia’s closed eyes and chanted a spell.
The pure white light from the ring melted into Cordelia’s eyes as if it was being sucked into hers, and she slowly opened her eyes.
“Ah, I see.”
It was still blurry, but I could see the gist of it.
Uther sighed in relief at Cordelia’s admiration, and caressed Cordelia’s cheek again as he spoke.
“I’m sorry, did it hurt a lot?”
It was a voice that was a little different than usual.
Moreover, he was even caressing my cheek.
Because of this, Cordelia was flustered and pretended to be calm to overcome this unfamiliar situation.
“Yeah. It was really hard.”
“sorry.”
Again Uther spoke, and Cordelia was overcome with a very strange feeling.
I felt like screaming at her to just act like normal, but at the same time I wanted to just close my eyes, and my heart started pounding so hard it felt like it was going to burst.
‘Why, why is it like this?’
That goes for Uther, and for Cordelia herself.
And then Uther acted again. He looked Cordelia straight in the eye and said.
“I’ll be back.”
Cordelia nodded without realizing it.
Yuder smiled again at the sight of her blushing face and acting very cautiously.
He carefully sat Cordelia down as she began to collapse with her legs giving out, then turned to look at the Guardian.
It fully revealed the pent-up anger Cordelia felt.
“Krrrr······.”
The Guardian growled lowly.
But it was different from before.
I could feel the fear in him.
The mighty dragon energy that Uder emitted was binding him.
“Krrrr······.”
He wasn’t waiting for Uther and Cordelia.
There was no choice but to wait.
‘I was scared.’
Cordelia sensed the Guardian’s fear. Her senses, closer to beast than human, told her clearly.
The dragon’s aura emitted by Yuder.
The power of the black dragon burned like a black flame and covered Yuder’s entire body.
Cordelia’s eyes were not completely healed.
It was still blurry and I couldn’t see the colors very well.
But that made me see it more clearly.
Yuder stands before him.
The back of Uder.
The appearance of a black dragon about to soar into the sky.
“Come.”
Uder spoke quietly.
It was a small voice, but it was clearly audible.
It spread out like gentle ripples.
‘What is that? It’s embarrassing.’
Why is shame always yours?
As Cordelia twisted her body, the Guardian reacted.
He roared loudly as if shaking off his fear.
“Keuh-heung!”
The Living Swords and Shields moved simultaneously.
He flew in to crush and destroy Uther and Cordelia.
All around.
At the same time, too.
But Uther was not afraid.
I saw, felt, calculated, and then took action.
thud.
A low, dull sound.
But what happened from there was so quick and easy.
The black wind has arrived.
A pitch-black gale and a golden whirlwind.
Uther crossed the space. He looked to the right and extended his sword towards the impending Living Shield.
Black dragon emerges.
The black dragon roared and charged forward. It didn’t stop at striking the Living Shield, but pushed it away. The center of the Living Shield dented, and it flew towards the wall, crashing into it.
Kukookung!
There was a loud noise.
And it was too late. Yuder had already thrown himself to the left.
Living Sword.
Flying with the blade straight up.
He spun his body in the air. He slammed his heel down toward the Living Sword’s blade. This time, the black dragon’s energy that had been emitted bit the Living Sword. He slammed it into the ground.
Kwakang-!
The Living Sword was stuck in the ground just as it was flying.
And it all happened in just over two seconds.
Just that much time.
That’s why the Living Sword and Shield couldn’t attack Cordelia who had collapsed. It wasn’t enough time for them to do so.
That one second.
Uther crossed the space.
The moment the Living Sword made a loud noise as it sank into the ground, he kicked the ground faster than the sound. He turned his body towards Cordelia and pulled both his arms. He added a black gale to the black dragon’s aura.
Black dragon style.
Kwaha-!
The two black dragons that stretched out from Yuder’s two hands shook with the wind. They trapped the Living Sword and Shield in a black vortex, and then went forward and slammed them into the walls and ceiling.
Quagga River!
Almost simultaneously, a crackling sound rang out. Cordelia blinked, and Uther turned around. He charged at the Guardian, who was bewildered by the Living Swords and Shields that were no longer moving.
“Khuuuuuuuu!”
The Guardian charged forward, roaring.
But the momentum was weak.
My body was curled up, and it seemed like I could see what I was going to do and what I was going to think.
Quagga River!
Defeat the Black Dragon’s Thunder.
A jet-black aura exploded with golden lightning.
Uther’s roundhouse kick landed on the Guardian’s head. The black dragon’s energy released bit the Guardian’s head and slammed it into the ground.
thud!
The Guardian’s giant body collapsed. After spinning his body several times in the air, Uder landed on the ground and charged again.
Brain attack.
Quagga River!
The thunder struck again. A lightning-like seven-strike strike struck the Guardian in the chest, and the Guardian couldn’t even scream properly.
Kwak-kak!
But it was Guardian. The one who absorbed the dragon’s energy from the ground, and emitted lightning from his entire body. As soon as he briefly blocked Uther’s attack, he let out a roar.
“Kaaaah-!”
Dragon Fear.
The power to induce fear.
bang!
It was absurd.
Uther stomped the ground roughly, making a loud noise. He cut off the Guardian’s momentum and released a dragon’s aura.
The Guardian’s Dragon Fear was disabled by a stronger dragon roar.
“Kwaaah!”
The Guardian writhed and screamed. And then Uther calculated again. The height of the ceiling, the size of the Guardian, the force needed to blow it away, and the resulting airtime.
‘It has to end in the air.’
Even though Yuder himself was taking the beating unilaterally, it was taking too long to end it this way.
I had to pull him up into the air, cut off the dragonfly supply from the ground, and then finish him off in one blow.
To do that, two things are needed.
A means to blow a bastard into the air, and a powerful technique to deal with that bastard in one blow.
“Whoa!”
The Guardian struggled again. So Uder stopped thinking and took action. He once again punched the Guardian in the chest, causing him to crouch down, and then stepped back. He deliberately gave him time to get up before moving his feet again.
Sha-!
The Guardian was a four-legged beast, so if you dug underneath you could see its chest and stomach.
Uder, who had been digging in as if lying on the ground, raised his body as if doing a handstand and aimed for the Guardian’s abdomen.
I pushed the bastard’s stomach with all my might.
bang!
A black aura surged forth. It bit the Guardian’s waist and rushed forward, rising into the air.
thud!
It hit the ceiling and started falling.
There are only a few seconds left until it hits the ground.
Yuder, who had straightened his posture, grabbed the Eastern Warrior’s sword that was on his waist. He injected it with the Black Dragon’s energy.
And then I realized.
The ceiling was too low.
There wasn’t enough time to gather enough strength.
But Uder didn’t stop.
Because I saw it.
The green aura engulfs the Guardian. The witch’s telekinesis holds the Guardian in midair.
“Anyway.”
I told you you can’t do it without me.
Cordelia’s voice was heard from behind me. The omitted story also became real in my head.
Cordelia.
A genius in battle.
She didn’t just watch.
I restored the magic power of the dragonfly that rose from the ground by casting Mana Drain.
Of course, the efficiency wasn’t very good.
But even so, the magic power itself could be recovered.
And the result.
“It’s the best, after all.”
Uder said. He smiled and pulled his sword, and swung the Eastern Warrior’s Sword at the Guardian who was stuck in the air and unable to move.
Black Dragon Hell.
The pitch-black sword energy stretched out wildly. A violent line that tore through the earth and rushed forward, cutting across the Guardian’s neck.
Quagga-!
The Guardian’s neck snapped as if bitten by a dragon’s teeth. Cordelia released her telekinesis, and the Guardian’s massive body crashed to the ground.
Kukookung!
The Guardian’s head and neck each hit the ground, and the floor split open with a loud noise.
And then, white rings of light appeared one after another around Uther and Cordelia’s chests.
Level up.
Uther himself is 65. Cordelia is now 64.
“Haa··· haa··· hak.”
Cordelia gasped for breath, her shoulders slumped, and Uther turned to her.
The Snow Queen was the Snow Queen, but first, she wanted to go to Cordelia.
Cordelia looked up and saw Yuder like that.
Uther looked at Cordelia.
And right after that.
Quasi-snap.
I heard a sound.
Both of them raised their heads at the same time and saw a crack spreading across the ceiling.
Kwajijijik-
And again the sound.
This time it was the wall and the floor, and Uther and Cordelia looked at each other.
“ah.”
“iced coffee.”
The crack grew wider.
It was a natural thing.
Because I caused all kinds of trouble.
Because they were haphazardly hammered into the walls and ceiling.
“hurry!”
Cordelia shouted, and Uther quickly turned around. He ran towards the pillar and separated the Snow Queen’s core in the order Melissa had told him.
Thud, thud.
Debris was falling from the ceiling, bit by bit. The crack was getting bigger, so a large rockfall was about to occur.
But the biggest problem is the walls and the floor.
A small ray of golden energy suddenly emerged from a crack in the floor.
The power of the pure dragon vein was evident.
“hurry!”
Cordelia shouted again, and Uther quickly flew forward. He grabbed Cordelia’s waist as she stood up awkwardly, and turned toward the elevator. Before she could open the door, he broke it with a drop kick.
Kukookung!
“consolation!”
Luckily, Melissa responded.
The elevator began to rise, and Uther and Cordelia saw through the cracks in the broken elevator door the walls and floor of the development room crumbling, and golden energy engulfing the Guardian’s corpse.
Kuhwaaah-
Just rise.
“Ha, ha.”
Uther couldn’t sit still and fell, and Cordelia, who fell down with him, let out a loud groan.
“are you okay?”
“I’m not okay. I can’t see very well. My joints hurt. Everything just hurts.”
As I was grumbling without realizing it, Uder smiled again. I spoke without realizing it, just like Cordelia did.
“thank god.”
“what.”
“Because I’m with you.”
Uther looked back at Cordelia, revealing a little bit of his true feelings.
But, fortunately or unfortunately, Cordelia’s eyesight was not completely cured.
This time, the eye contact failed.
“Huh, if you know how, you can do it.”
As Cordelia spoke excitedly as always, Uther furrowed his eyebrows slightly, but soon smiled his usual sly smile.
“Will it be possible, my princess?”
“Huh, just in words.”
Cordelia, deliberately grumbling more than usual, rested her head on Uther’s chest.
I hate to admit it, but I feel relieved when I do this.
I closed my eyes and gave in to fatigue. I fell into a deep sleep.
&
“Thank you so much. You really worked hard.”
Uther, who was holding Cordelia in a deep sleep, in the so-called princess hug, nodded and got out of the elevator.
“What happened to the development lab?”
“It completely collapsed. But it’s okay. The Snow Queen’s core has been removed, so there won’t be an explosion.”
As Melissa spoke with a smile, Uther unconsciously turned to look at Cordelia.
‘Well, I’m also seriously ill.’
Because when it exploded, the first thing that came to mind was Cordelia’s smiling face.
No, it’s not Uther himself, but Cordelia who is the weird one.
In any case, the great collapse of the Sky Roof Mountain Range was prevented, and the birth of the light dragon Yallabaska was also prevented.
It was truly a tremendous achievement.
‘The only ones who know are Cordelia, Melissa, and me.’
In fact, Melissa didn’t know anything about the mad dragon Yalabaska, so it was an active activity that only Uther and Cordelia knew about.
‘Well, then it’s okay.’
Uther himself was human.
If he had been the only one who knew that he had saved the world, he would have been upset, but he was not alone.
It was a fact shared with Cordelia.
That alone made my heart feel warm.
‘I gained a lot too.’
The nine heavenly gates were opened.
And because of that, not only did I get to command the four black dragons, but I also learned things about the Nine Heavenly Gate itself.
‘Let’s review it later.’
Second meeting with the fairy.
Things I learned from meeting her.
‘and.’
The Snow Queen’s core placed in Cordelia’s arms.
A failed spirit king who gave birth to the light dragon Yallabaska.
If it was going to be used, it had already been decided.
‘Cordelia needs to power up too.’
Because it would have been unfair if it had only been Uther himself.
‘It’ll take a lot of effort, though.’
It would take a lot of hard work to realize his own idea. However, when he thought about Cordelia’s smile when it was all over, he wanted to start right away.
“Uh… Yuder? What are you thinking?”
“yes?”
“No, that···you keep laughing······.”
“Ahem.”
Uther quickly fixed his expression, hugged Cordelia tightly, and spoke to Melissa again.
“First, can I rest for a bit? And maybe eat something.”
“Of course, there are emergency food supplies left behind by the owners.”
Uder followed Melissa’s lead with a bright smile.
And at the same time.
Near the northern border of the Kingdom of Seilun.
“So that’s really how it happened?”
Count Chase, speaking softly, looked back north.
He nodded, thinking of Uther and Cordelia somewhere out in the vast wild lands.
“Gail, as you said, the crows must prepare.”
Gale’s judgment was correct. He had to tell the North what was happening in the savage lands.
“I will head north and join the Eastern Alliance you mentioned. Gale, you and Adelia will go to Thunderdoom Fortress.”
“All right.”
The sequence was as expected.
But what happened next was unexpected.
“But Gale.”
“Yes, Count.”
“It’s still so flimsy even when I look at it again. There’s no sign of it.”
“yes?”
Unlike Uther, Gale was unable to adapt to Count Chase.
So he asked back, and Count Chase clicked his tongue and opened the space expansion bag.
If we parted ways here, it would be quite some time before we could meet again.
Even though it was a little(?) awkward, I had no choice but to deal with it all at once.
“Are you eating? You wouldn’t be starving Adelia, would you? Heh heh… The sword is old. I don’t think it will be useful even if you repair it.”
“Your Majesty?”
As Gail blinked, not knowing what to do, Adelia covered her face with both hands and let out a silent scream.
‘Daddyaaaaaaah.’
I was embarrassed. I was so, so embarrassed.
But I didn’t think about stopping him. Why would I stop him if he said he would give it to Gale?
So Count Chase’s strange nitpicking continued, Gail blinked at the bags that were piling up in front of her, and Adelia just sat there, not knowing what to do.
About ten minutes like that.
Count Chase turned around after seeing off Gale and Adelia, who were groaning while carrying a load that had increased several times, towards Thunderdoom Fortress.
Headed north.
