Reviews
Hello, this is Chwiryong.
The story of two people, Uther and Cordelia.
Ending Maker has been completed.
I feel this way every time I finish something… my heart is full in many ways.
All of the articles I’ve written before have been meaningful and special to me, but this one feels especially overwhelming.
Of course, that could just be because it’s the latest version.
This time, just like the epilogue was long, I plan to write a long review as well.
You might wonder what’s the point of doing this after the main story is over, but there are so many stories I want to tell.
They say writers speak through their writing, but it’s possible that there could be at least one review like this full of small talk.
Wedding Maker – no, Ending Maker is actually a work that was planned quite a long time ago.
This is a piece that came to mind two or three years ago, but at the time I didn’t write it down myself, I just kept it in my head.
It seems like something fun and fun to write about…
It was too much like a light novel.
A story about 1st and 2nd place coming together in another world.
But are those two a man and a woman?
So this is a complete romance?
A story where the main character and heroine are flirting from beginning to end in a boy meets girl? And on top of that, they’re basically double protagonists? Would something like this be allowed on a webtoon?
As you said.
So, it was just a story that I kept in my heart······.
Last year, when I was struggling to come up with a new work and was feeling stuck, I suddenly felt like writing, so I wrote the prologue.
And when I posted it on my blog, the response was good.
Ohhh?
As I continued to write, I ended up writing more and more… and eventually even serialized it.
In fact, there were many twists and turns even before it became paid.
As expected(?), the growth in the number of views was somewhat ambiguous, perhaps because the article had a different flavor from the previous Moonpia articles.
So, at that time, I set a goal every week and if I reached that number, I kept going, but if not, I thought about it!
I wrote the article as follows.
But strangely enough, I managed to achieve that goal every week.
Actually, when I set that goal, I was already very attached to Enme, so I was thinking that if I could somehow make it paid, I would go there no matter what!
And it became a paid service.
The conversion rate was amazing, beyond what I had imagined, and no one around me could have imagined.
Um… I’m a bit disorganized, just like when I write blog posts, so please bear with me.
For one reason or another, Enme is a piece of writing that cannot help but fill me with emotion.
I can’t reveal the details here, but there were many difficult things I had to deal with externally while using Enme.
I was so stressed out that I was going crazy… but the series was the most important thing.
Every single day, I somehow managed to shake it off and sit in front of the computer… Well, it’s strange and admirable(?) that I finished it without taking a single break.
Of course, the help from those around me was enormous.
Of course, I had close writers, but I also had a close friend who read my writing from beginning to end, discussed it with me, and gave me advice.
Of course, the readers who read the story had the greatest influence.
Because stories come to life when there is someone to read them.
Here… if I may add one more thing, Ending Maker itself was such a fun and encouraging story to me. Thanks to Enme, there were so many fun things that happened to me.
Ending Maker is the longest story I’ve ever written, and it’s the one that’s been serialized for the longest time.
As a full-time writer, it is also the most like my writing, like World Maker, which was my first work.
Maybe that’s why··· even in the afterword, I feel regretful and the writing keeps getting longer.
I hope you can be a little more understanding.
Ending Maker is a story that was initially thought to end in around 200 episodes.
But as I kept using it, it kept increasing.
There were two reasons,
One is that I changed my mind.
It’s not that I suddenly changed my mind and said, ‘I’ll write it long!’
Should I say that it is a way of writing a webtoon?
Due to the nature of daily serialization, the development of current webtoons is very fast.
And because there is a gap of one day between episodes, the speed is often not felt well by those who follow the daily serialization every day.
Because if an incident drags on even a little bit, or if another story is included between incidents, it often quickly gets bad reviews or the number of views fluctuates.
I was like that too, and I’ve changed a lot over the past few years.
I’m someone who doesn’t usually take breaks between events, but I ended up becoming even more extreme in my style of just rushing through events.
So I changed my mind last year.
Let’s include a break even if it gets some bad reviews or the number of views fluctuates.
Let’s keep the pace I had in mind.
So, that’s what we actually did.
Of all the articles I’ve written, the one with the most pauses is probably the one in Enmail.
The second reason was something I really didn’t think of,
Aside from the development of the story, a considerable amount of time was also needed to show the progress of the two people’s love.
As you may know, Jude and Cordelia did not fall in love dramatically through some decisive event.
This is the case when you stick together for a long time, you develop feelings for each other, and then you start to like each other.
In fact, that’s why I heard quite a bit of bad reviews.
Because the romance had to progress in accordance with the story development, there was no way a romance that could really be called a romance could occur in the first half.
I’m just saying this now, but I really wanted to lose a lot of progress.
Let’s kiss a little earlier, and other things too…omitted.
Now that it’s finished, the only thing I regret is the Empire arc.
Originally, when I first planned it, I was going to write a story about traveling around the empire, like Wild Lands, the Royal Capital, or the Southern Chapter, but as the story progressed and Yuder and Cordelia – that is, Yudelia’s strength had passed a certain level, the story unfolded like it is now.
Of course… there would have been a better way. In fact, now that I’ve finished it, there are a few episodes that I can think of that could have been covered in more depth while maintaining the current development.
But I don’t want to regret it too much because I did my best at the time.
– In fact, there are some parts that are a bit disappointing in the part where Maximilian and Lucas fight in the final battle of the system, but we plan to improve this through revisions in the future.
Actually, this is also related to my style.
Usually, when the Four Heavenly Kings appear in a story, most writers capture all of them one by one, but in my case, once I capture one of the Four Heavenly Kings, I tend to focus the story on capturing the Demon King, who is higher than the Four Heavenly Kings, since he is of the same level as the other Four Heavenly Kings.
I think this is the biggest reason why people say that the second half is ‘fast-paced’.
Hmm… As I write this, it seems like it’s more of an excuse than a review(…)
I’ll stop making excuses here.
There’s still a little more to Enme’s story.
First of all, I’m planning on writing some side stories, and as I’ve mentioned several times, I plan on writing a lot and making them longer this time.
Let me just mention a few of the prepared side stories······
1) Lucas and his friends doing the Fairy Challenge to make contact with the fairies. (Epilogue)
2) Yudelia goes to Earth and sees the meeting between Kang Jin-ho and Hong Yu-hee (post-ending)
3) The process of Yudelia’s Hresvelg County travel that was omitted in the work (Northern viewpoint)
4) Yudelia’s activities in Hell (before the epilogue)
5) Origin of the Wild Gods (after the epilogue)
6) Cordelia’s Diary (Overview of the entire story)
7) The story of Kang Jin-ho and Hong Yu-hee (before the story begins)
There are etc.
If there are any side stories you would like to see, please leave a comment. I will take note of them 😀
After finishing all the Enme side stories, as previously announced,
A combined spin-off of Worldmaker, Players, Dungeon Maker, and Dungeon Breaker.
I plan to serialize a Dungeon Maker side story.
It seems like it will be a fairly long story for a side story, and as the title Dungeon Maker Side Story suggests, the story will center around Cheon Yong-ho, the main character of Dungeon Maker.
It’s a story about Yongho, who finished his work in heaven, leading the army of greed and descending to Earth to end the war of the 72 demons.
Of course, as it is an integrated spin-off, all characters from other works, like Avengers, will make significant appearances.
There are still some side stories left,
I guess I’ll have to end the review here since I’ll probably be able to write an author’s note there too.
Therefore, I will leave behind an important story that is worthy of being written separately in the afterword.
A story only comes to life when there is someone to read it.
Thank you to all the readers who breathed life into the story called Ending Maker.
Thank you so much.
I was happy because all of the ending makers were there, including Uther and Cordelia, Lucas and Scarlett, Kaisa, Kirara, Maia, Dahlia, Count Chase and Count Bayer, Gale and Adelia, Landius and Lena, Kamael and Fran, Belkian, the Fairy Queens, the Rough Avalanche and the Wild Gods, the Red Wind and the Sun Song, etc.
Father, mother, older sister,
The person in charge who helped me a lot throughout writing, my close friends, Hyunseop and Gunwoo,
Thank you to Es, Chan, Gaegrim and Jjalsoohaengja for the wonderful drawings.
Thank you all.
See you in the spin-offs and future works.
Have a happy day today too 😀
